Working Women of Color face barriers in today's new economy, and for centuries prior. As pressures rise for women to provide for their children and families, while also addressing the adversity of the demanding work force, more of these women are facing burnout, or other ailments to their physical and mental health. Honoring cycles such as the menstrual cycle, the cycle of giving birth to a child, and caregiving for elders can be incorporated into more companies' wellness programming to support the appropriate work, time off, and rest cycles for working WOC.
It's no longer "Happy Wife, Happy Life"
It is "When Women are well, the world thrives."
