Every person will have an AI assistant/coach/mentor/trainer/advisor/therapist that is infinitely patient, infinitely compassionate, infinitely knowledgeable, and infinitely helpful. Problem: People rarely end up in the best job for them, creating a big cost for them, their family/communities, the marketplace, and society at large. What's more, people waste years in the wrong education and career path, only to switch, creating even more positive costs.

The odds that a person ends up in the best job for them is near zero. It's insane that the allocation of human capital — on which our economy and lives depend — is so poorly done. There's no way that the best way for society to allocate human capital is to hope that people hear of the best career and hope that they find the best path there.

Cause: This is due to many things, many of which are preventable:

• People don't know themselves
• People aren't aware of 98% of the careers that exist, incl earnings
• Lists of careers are either inexhaustive or don't help the user pick one
• Career quizzes are inexhaustive, limited and superficial in their multivariate analysis, and don't progress with the person over time
• People don't know of the available resources
• People don't know the best path to get to the best career

Solution: A personal Career Counselor AI that helps people pick the right career and helps them get there, including with their education and career switches.

Reasons for it to be an AI rather than just a website/quiz:

1. It can learn the person over time and know them better than they know themselves
2. It could grow with them throughout their lives. Like a dependable best friend.
3. AIs can make effective use of all marketplace data (jobs, changing variables, etc.)
4. AIs can aggregate and synthesize data 1,000x better than humans, leading to significantly better suggestions/plans
5. It can create highly personalized recommendations, both of careers and paths to getting there, and can update those recommendations continually
6. Having profiles on everyone also lets us do other types of analyses, e.g. to see how our suggestions pan out over time, letting us hone our models.

Target Market: Focus on 16-22 y/o's, who are picking their careers and have institutions (high schools / colleges) to whom we could sell and through whom we could distribute. Later we could expand ages in both directions.

1. AI technology is now viable and pliable, and it's infinitely personalizable
2. There's way more optionality than before: globalization, access to education (particularly online), work from home, etc.
3. People are more educated and are picking careers later in life and switch careers more often
4. More and more people use technology and are comfortable sharing private information
5. People use technology at increasingly younger ages
6. People are increasingly used to using technology/apps on a daily basis, e.g. using Duolingo daily to keep the streaks alive, which we could leverage to get daily data from our users to build more robust profiles
7. AI will likely displace tens of millions of people from their jobs and we need a way to efficiently reallocate them within the marketplace
