The timeless construction industry has a 20% problem: over 20% of labor time is wasted due to miscommunication at the job site. Considering there are 11 million laborers in the United States alone this equates to over 154 million hours wasted every single week. Yes, this is true, in 2024, when everyone has a smartphone in their hands. Throw in the growing labor shortage and this problem continues to hold back human society progress in our built environment.
The time is now because this problem is only getting worse. Just ask anyone you know who works in the front lines of construction "What grade would you give communication at the job site?" and wait for their colorful response to give you the context on how bad this problem is. Yes, NOW is the time to solve this.
