Companies should provide more transparency into how they make sound business decisions and why they should be trusted by their employees and their consumers.
Companies lay people off , cut benefits, increase employee benefits cost responsibilities, pay merit increases that don’t match inflation or COLAs, pay bonuses inequitably, have huge turnover in the c-suit or board with no explanation, have safety / compliance violations , change policies that adversely impact employees regularly, and more.
But how is a potential job seeker or consumer to know these things? Employers should be held accountable for their decisions and how they impact people, families and communities.
There is a need for transparency, facts and accountability in todays free market economy so people can make educated decisions on where they work, who they work for and what they consume.
The world of work is changing and people are more conscious of where they spend their time and money. Facts are hard to find and people should be able to make informed decisions with reliable data and information.
