Connecting children from single-parent households - particularly fatherless children - with resources to help them tackle the unique challenges posed to them. Over 18 million children in the U.S. grow up without their father in the home; studies have universally shown that this fatherlessness is an indicator of an increased likelihood for future poverty, crime, etc. Using a combination of smart technology and human mentors I believe we can work directly with parishes, schools, and other organizations to access the children most in need.

There's a nonprofit that has built out a tech platform and program for a "synthetic family" to provide wraparound support and journey with teens for 10 years. They've shown pretty phenomenal impact: https://www.thread.org/

I'd suggest leaving it as 'single parent homes' although stats do show that children tend to have mom as custodial parent. These kids are certainly looking for the missing parent-figure and you can break the chains if you have a missing-parent figure in their life. Just have to be wary of predators, etc. and keep in mind that personal interaction is what truly makes a difference, especially for children.
