Job Openings That Reach the Right People And Don't Result in an Influx of Unqualified Applicants
Proposed as a new solution toLet's explore an approach that flips the recruiting process on its head and removes all CVs.
Employees record overtime their work activity, tools, technologies, etc, in a distributed system where this information is maintained under their strict control as immutable, timestamped, encrypted and for all intended purposes anonymized. This data represents a work profile; the owner of this profile is the only one that can grant access to that profile. An individual can't have more than one profile.
When an employer is looking to fill a position, they will match the best profile for a role without revealing any of the candidates' identities and without any humans "seeing" the actual profiles. If all employees track their work in a similar manner, an employer can use one of their employees' profiles as a target or choose to design a new target profile for their search. Once a match is found, and the parties agreed to a face to face interview, only then the candidate identity is revealed and potentially a summary of the candidate's relevant activity is shared.
Co-workers who collaborate on the same project can strengthen each other's entries by validating common work experiences. A manager can 'praise' employees by validating or adding work activities in the system. Employees can receive notifications to update their activities every other day, once a week, or at other intervals. LLMs can pre-scan the entries for sensitive corporate information, and depending on the type of work, they can even automatically generate the entries.
Note: I understand that the word 'profile' may sound controversial, but please keep in mind that the entire premise is based on maintaining information in a decentralized manner, ensuring it is encrypted and subject to strict access controls.

"Once a match is found, and the parties agreed to a face to face interview, only then the candidate identity is revealed."
YES. I think this is extremely important and will only become more so as AI is trained to auto-exclude candidates based on misguided (and even illegal) assumptions derived from names, background, etc.
