If the rumors are true and boosters are now working directly with team recruiters on guaranteed NIL deals, that is the equivalent of a semi-pro league. Notre Dame has already said it would be out of such a league. Clear rules need to be put in place...fast.

In my opinion, the driving force behind NIL regulation and uniform policy will be collectives taking away from donations that historically donated to athletic departments. As the landscape progresses and collectives gain more footing, more money historically donated to athletic departments will be funneled through collectives.
