As Head of Talent, you'll lead talent acquisition for the Platform team and our portfolio companies. You will need to close hires, but you'll also be responsible for defining and continuously improving how the talent function at Platform works.
This is a full-time role and location is flexible within North America.
Responsibilities:
- Make key hires in the Platform Studio Core Team across all functions, including design, engineering, growth marketing, finance, operations, and administration.
- Provide talent acquisition services to our portfolio companies, working closely with our Founders-in-Residence, to build high-performing teams.
- Consult with Founders-in-Residence on hiring plans and prioritization.
- Develop a talent acquisition playbook for Platform companies to follow to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of hiring.
- Coach and support Founders-in-Residence in best practice - how to screen, how to interview, how to close, etc.
- Continuously grow and curate our network of talent, and help develop our bench of potential founders.
- Build and manage relationships with top-performing recruiters and search firms, as needed.
About you:
- 5+ years of experience working in recruiting at a startup, search firm, and/or VC talent organization.
- Deep understanding of the talent acquisition process and ability to select systems and tools, as needed (ATS, etc).
- A keen eye for candidate experience.
- The ability to track and report on key recruiting metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- A clear understanding and plan for incorporating DEI principles into recruiting.
- A consultative and supportive approach to helping our Founders-in-Residence build great teams - you will need to both give them fish and teach them how to fish
