Since the start of my career back in 2002 I have spent my time almost exclusively working in the PE/VC/Startup space. I spent the first half of my career providing early stage debt financing to VC backed startups of all stages. Following that, I made the transition over to Silicon Valley Bank’s venture group where I spent my time focused on banking the ventures firms themselves. I was responsible for starting and building what is now known as the Emerging Manager Practice (aka Micro VC, Super Angel etc) for the bank, which consists of firms such as Felicis Ventures, SoftTech VC, O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures, Blumberg Capital, Floodgate Fund among many others.

I am currently a Managing Director at First Republic Bank, where my primary focus is continuing to build out our Tech, VC and PE banking practice. Much of my time is spent toward helping advise founders, primarily on fundraising and debt financing solutions. I also spend much of my time doing the same for Emerging Managers in the VC fund space.

FRB is a full service private and commercial bank that provides a comprehensive platform for the VC/PE and Tech Company space at all stages, be it on the business or personal side.

My specialties include all aspects of lending to Venture Capital / Private Equity firms. I also consult portfolio companies of all stages looking for various types of debt/equity financing.
