I thought I was going to be a speechwriter so I went to law school where I became a music lawyer, an education I used to design slot machines and develop global marketing insights systems in casino gaming. I have always been designing something, or finding another way to do something. I have always loved fashion and for the last two decades, sustainable fashion. When I started racing sail boats it all fell into one pot and Sail to Shelter was born. We turn elite racing sails into shade and shelter for humanitarian aid. Sails provide shade, shelter, small goods and jobs to refugees around the world. And I thought I was going to be a speech writer. We don't all have a straight line.
