Maureen (Moe) Rinkunas is a relationship builder who bridges the gap between corporates and the entrepreneurial ecosystem to establish collaborations that accelerate growth and innovation. As SVP, Corporate Innovation & Business Design at Coplex, a corporate startup studio that partners with corporations to build high-growth tech companies in highly regulated industries, she draws on her experiences building and investing in opportunities in health tech and other deep tech verticals across corporate and startup environments.

Moe’s passion is helping innovators go from inspiration to action, guiding them through the chaos inherent in new markets and undefined opportunities for new technologies. Having worked with hundreds of teams at organizations of all sizes from startups to Fortune 500 companies, she has seen the pinch points where things “get stuck” in the pipeline and has paved the way for the pursuit of early-stage growth opportunities with urgency and at scale.

Prior to joining Coplex, Moe defined her own role with the Emerging Innovation team at DuPont focused on both helping internal teams to think and act more like startups and establishing a scalable model for “bringing the outside in” via open innovation and highly strategic corporate venturing. Similarly, she built acceleration and investing platforms at Dreamit Ventures and laid the groundwork for a new commercialization process at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Most of her career has been focused on Deep Tech verticals, with a passion for bringing disruptive technologies into these markets. She frequently speaks and facilitates workshops on how to take the first steps in assessing ideas and moving them forward using principles of Lean Startup and Design Thinking. Moe is an active startup mentor at 500 Startups, mHub, IndieBio, HITLAB, I-Corps, and other programs for early-stage entrepreneurs.
