I went to my primary care MD when I turned 40 and asked for complete blood work. He asked why. Do you have any pain? The truth is that I don't have any pain, but I also don't want to have any pain when I'm 100. I want to care for myself to live a healthy life until I'm 100. But then my doctor doesn't care about that. The current system is sick care, not health care.
Preventive health care has advanced enough that if you pay attention to your diet, exercise, supplements, sleep, and body mass composition, you can prevent long-term sicknesses and delay them for a long time. You can live longer.
But...
It's not the current health care system's fault. They don't get paid if you stay healthy longer.
You can do it yourself, of course!
But...
Try figuring out an action plan online. It's a web of unverified facts and myths. Try figuring out what test you should take, interpreting your test results to determine what you need to do, and selecting the supplements and actions you need to take. I know it's hard and confusing because I have been trying to do this for the last 2 years. This research and decision-making process can cut a few years off your life! (kidding, sorta!)
So, the unmet need is the desire of a large group of middle-aged people who want to live to above 100 but are lost in a sea of data, recommendations, tests, suppliers, and a medical system that doesn't care.
The so-called longevity industry (aiming to help people live healthy longer) is at an inflection point:
So, combine AI, demographic change, interest and adoption, and accessibility of technology, and you see that it is time to solve the problem of how to get everyone to 100 years old.

Agreed. We have a disease care system. No incentive to cure. This system was engineered a long time ago by some Wealthy Elites (Rockefellers). The control the medical schools and dialog. Now is a great time to put forth solutions especially with RFK Jr as Health Secretary. He is willing to call out corruption. I studied health for over 30 years. I founded an eCom CPG food and supplements company. Battled the FDA.
