There is a need for a societal tool that encourages and rewards ethical behavior on the part of those responsible for creating the tools we use: governments, companies, developers, users.
- Unlike Platform Studio, social media sites like Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn are not ethically driven. The AI solutions proposed on social media platforms are aimed at making money and beating the competition, not creating an equitable society with ethical win/win/win scenarios.
- AI tools like ChatGPT are being trained on requests from individuals that are curious. The situations we are using to train the AI systems may not be ethical (how do we beat X company economically? how do we destroy X country in war?) rather than for the good of society (how do we implement community gardens in marginalized communities? how can we create an equitable global marketplace?).
- AI tools are disrupting specialized white collar industries, like copy writing, legal services, creative services, PR, and software development.
