Quick poll: How do you get holiday greetings from your employer- email, slack, intranet, none? Are you at a small, medium, or large company?

Being a digital first small business, I had nurtured team camaraderie by setting up "virtual rooms" in slack channels and posting fun gifs for halloween, veterans day, thanksgiving, indigenous day, etc. Young team members chimed in with emoji cheer, but leadership corrected me on "official" national holidays for employees vs for contractors etc. Wait- what? How could we celebrate life and fun with one another in a professional, inclusive way? Do HR, communications, or random folks account for this personal/company interaction?

I love recent trends of PeopleOps, DEI, generative AI, UX design, UX research, climate adaption, gender equity. So far, these seem to be siloed threads, so I want to start weaving into beautiful tapestries- building on workhuman.com, confluence, and wikis but uniquely curated and data-driven as hopefully digitally and automatically from a "trusted, well-designed" source (that could kickoff a new peopleOps CMS platform to get employees caring easily about larger social campaigns within their company)?
