First, there is a significant gap in the college to career transition process, especially for students from Minority Serving Institutions. Many minority students face barriers to entry into the workforce and may not have many other opportunities to gain real-world experience.
Second, businesses are increasingly looking for ways to outsource tasks and projects and grow lean teams, but they may struggle to find talented, diverse workers who are eager to gain experience and build their careers. Traditional staffing agencies and platforms like Upwork and Fiverr may not always meet these needs, and may not provide the support and experiential learning that businesses and students need.
