Brazilian cinema is entirely dependent on the state. Whether through grants or laws for fundraising, in Brazil, there is no culture of investing in film, and as the state is the provider of the largest productions, the industry does not develop in a profound manner. Proof of this is that over the last twenty years, Brazil has spent billions on these incentives, but the films we have that possess both entertainment and content value can be counted on one's fingers.
With the emergence of the streaming market, a landscape has unfolded wherein a small yet creatively potent company stands poised to capture the attention of major industry players, provided it can substantiate its capabilities. I am currently crafting a comprehensive press kit for my feature film project, which will prominently feature a short film encapsulating the overarching concept of the endeavor. This serves as my initial foray into showcasing our capabilities.
I have assembled a cohesive ensemble of actors and secured the services of a professional cinematographer from Russia, whose expertise augments the project's vision, drawing from both academic learning and practical experience. His portfolio is impeccable, and with this inaugural short film, my endeavor commences on a promising note, boasting both exceptional craftsmanship and compelling content.
In due course, I shall furnish a link to the short film complete with English subtitles.
