There's a series of city-specific Facebook Groups called "Are we dating the same guy?" wherein women post a pic of a guy to see if anyone else is dating him and if they have any insight to his character. There are 122k women in the NYC group alone.
The functionality of Facebook groups aren't great for what they want to do: profile guys over time. The nature of the group is to see if you're dating the same guy, so you should be able to search a guy by name/image, instead of posting to the timeline where the post will be irrelevant to 98% of the members and, importantly, posts get buried â there's no way to search for your guy without scrolling through hundreds of posts.
Seems there should be an app to track men over time. I'm surprised the owners of these Facebook groups haven't created one already. Seems a natural pair of an app to dating app â maybe it integrates with big dating apps under the pitch of safety: Bumble would be a good target.
Note: there was an app called "Lulu" years ago that attempted to do this. Wiki article here. In February 2016, Badoo acquired Lulu and removed the app's ability to rate men.
