Little brain dump from a conversation I had, a lot of this is coming from observing people's social and tech behavior in these venues with Snapchat and IG:
- Anon Feed for Bars and Events: Users can post anonymous updates about the current scene at bars or events. Want to know if a place is buzzing or if it's a snoozefest? Check the Anon Feed. There is potential to create some virality with crazy videos or funny posts about a particular incident or time that night. Toying with the idea of feeds deleting after 24hrs.
- Ratings and Tags: The same feed allows for quick upvotes or downvotes and adding tags like #packed, #chill, or #greatmusic. These contribute to a venue's live "heat score."
- Profiles: Keep it low-key. Set up a basic profile with just a username—no mandatory photo or real name. Want to add photos? Pull them in from Instagram or Snapchat. Want people to follow you on these platforms? Enable it - That's optional.
- Hot Spots Map: Live, color-coded map view of the hottest spots in your area, determined by user-generated "heat scores" and real-time Anon Feed updates.
- VIP Experience: Get ahead of the game with features like bypassing lines at partner venues, age verification via app, direct messaging song requests, and potentially more visibility on the Anon Feed. This could unlock network effects if we get the locales on the platform.
- Low-Key Meetups: Plan mini-dates or group gatherings at concerts and festivals. Pick an artist, stage, or a set time to meet for a drink—all coordinated through the app, all low commitment.
- Social Bidding: People can post that they're celebrating a friend's birthday at a specific bar, and others can offer to buy rounds or give VIP access and join them.
- Gamification: Earn points for posting, tagging, and upvoting on the Anon Feed, which can then be redeemed for exclusive experiences or VIP perks in the locales.
- Matching Requests: Users can browse through profiles (whether singles or friends) within a proximity range of a locale. Do you see someone interesting? Shoot a low-commitment match request. It's like saying, "Hey, I am here as well tonight. Let's grab a drink."Both parties have to confirm before the meetup is set. This ensures that there's a mutual interest, keeping things low-pressure.
- Hot Streaks: User profiles can earn badges or hot streaks based on attendance, upvotes on their scene updates, or other engagements. These streaks give you more visibility and credibility in the community. It also has the potential for creating micro-influencers that can cross-promote their socials via the app.
There is potential monetization in a premium for users, allowing anon posts to be revealed similar to "gas", and monetizing on the local side from traffic increases or ad space.
