This would be a great solution with a few caveats.

  1. If the MSP provided a one-year warranty to make it a compelling choice compared to purchasing new equipment.
  2. The MSP maintains the pool of assets to make sure they are all running a best performance and latest updates are done before reselling.

Coming from multiple MSPs, I can tell you that the old equipment simply gets thrown away from the MSP. However, I have ALWAYS felt that we have such a huge E-Waste problem in this world that we should drive devices into the ground before we throw them away.


I think more need to focus on the wasteful side of technology instead of "the next best thing".
