Proposed as an existing solution to Identifying UX problems in early stage startups is too hard
QM is all about not only identifying the issues in UI/UX but quantifying the impact of the issue so the “my gut says” debate goes away.
Have you seen QM and if so, what is it lacking?

I had not seen it. It looks very rich but appears to be an enterprise solution targeting established companies, and sold through sales (vs self-signup).
Have you been a customer and do you know what a typical contract looks like for them $-wise?
My problem exists at the other end of the scale - the 0-1 problem of getting to product-market fit, where the team is very small and the infrastructure is very limited. I'm looking more for something that is free to start, self-signup. Essentially, Hotjar but without the need to manually review and interpret the data.
The 0-1 problem is not one of optimizing something that is already working and already has large volume. It's about accelerating product-market fit.
Extremely rich and easy to implement. I haven't been a user for years so don't recall the pricing model but I do know the Founder and he's always interested in tackling new use cases in flexible ways. Happy to connect you to him to chat (he's based on CO).
Based on trying to solve the 0-1, your intuition is probably right that it's not the right solution, but if anyone were to either know of a solution or be capable of building one I bet it'd be him.
