Proposed as an existing solution to College students lack a safe ride-share system that caters to their budgets and schedules
Desi provides student exclusive ride-share by rapidly linking college students with rides from fellow peers that increases safety, availability, affordability and makes money by taking 30% of each ride. Desi is a safer option because only students are allowed to sign up with a .edu email domain meaning the driver is a verified familiar peer who has passed several driver safety requirements. It is a more available option because 56% of all college students bring cars to campus (U.S. News) and it would be a flexible and rewarding economic opportunity for students with cars on campus. It is also cheaper as we have developed a more affordable pricing model for students because student drivers wouldn't be living off their income from Desi as do many Uber/Lyft drivers.

Great idea. Id recommend checking this out (https://dev.to/emmanuelchucks/creating-an-uber-clone-app-with-react-native-589i) and find React folks that can help with the views. If you run into backend questions, feel free to ping me. I’ve dealt with a ton of this stuff over the last 10 years or so.
Haha, I’m actually creating a similar platform for the databases class I’m in, except we’re focusing on getting to and from the airport to meet a project requirement. Cool stuff

really loving this idea. @Josh Burkwist can help find coders who have built apps before to help. cc @Jeremy Burton
