 The Unmet Need

For homeowners wishing to reduce their carbon footprint (because of global warming) by turning their homes into clean energy homes, the process can be overwhelming and expensive. Specifically, they may not know what to do, how to prioritize the work, what incentives exist, and what contractors to use. The result is inertia.

Additionally, there are inefficiencies and lack of up-to-date sustainable/clean energy education and best practices in the supply and labor side of the marketplace.

Regarding incentives and financing options, only certain initiatives (e.g., ADUs, solar) have helpful lists of local partners. Otherwise, it is up to the homeowner (or a savvy contractor) to discover these resources from a wide range of websites. Being able to spot scams is a concern.
