Btw, great article! The most interesting takeaways from this were the quotes from folks in academia with years of deep research in very specific areas. Made me think of another idea, a booking site/app for subject-matter experts in academia, professors, researchers, doctors, Phds... Maybe it already exists but what a source of incredible knowledge they are in pretty much any topic under the sun. Everyone knows they’re already underpaid, so if they could get remote consulting opportunities on something they’re passionate about, why not.
