The Unmet Need
Startups don’t have accounting departments, so founders spend an alarming amount of time doing financial ops work themselves – paying bills, categorizing expenses, googling tax legislation, adjusting payroll, wrestling with excel models, and so on. This type of work dilutes focus and sucks up valuable time that could be spent elsewhere. There is little reward for doing it right, but minor errors can prove massively expensive (or even deadly) down the road.
