The Unmet Need
Various organizations (studios, incubators, crowdfunding marketplaces, startups themselves, etc) want to allow individuals to invest in startups, but the regulatory environment is complicated.
When offering the opportunity to invest to individuals that you do not have a prior relationship with, there is a need to verify that they qualify as "Accredited Investors" under SEC regulations.
However, this verification process is not currently easy, and it is being done by each organization for each investment opportunity.
Progress
In Stage 1, we are validating whether existing solutions already exist, and proposing potential solutions.
